Since we started designing websites we have designed in the region of 80 websites for boarding kennels and boarding catteries, both in the UK and Italy. The average cattery and kennels manager wants a website to promote their services and facilities to local pet owners, taking advantage of the fact that the majority of people now search for a local cattery or kennels online. People running a kennels or cattery usually tell us that they want a website that's effective but doesn't require much (if any) management, will only want to make changes to their website once or twice a year (perhaps with price changes or special offers and events), and maybe add the occasional extra page now and then. Very few are genuinely interested in adding time-consuming things like blogs.
Unless you want an online booking system, the best solution for the average kennels and cattery is a simple HTML website - these are the quickest-loading of all websites, don't need special hosting and are unattractive targets for hackers. The typical kennels website includes no more than 5-6 pages and is very cost-effective.
As an approximate guide, if you want a website for your kennels or cattery, prices for a brochure-style website are typically around £350 to £600.
